Feng Shui for Real Estate Sales

There is a fascinating resource that
is available to help speed up the
sale of any property. Feng Shui (pronounced fung schway) is an art that
draws equally on common sense and mystery. Its principles help
create appealing spaces that beckon notice, with a power of efficacy
that goes beyond the easily explained.
Having escaped both the proprietary claims of Chinese emperors and the
persecution of communist dictators, this practice has been growing
exponentially in Hong Kong for the past 60 years. And now it is
sweeping the globe. Why? Because its practice can improve
fortunes and sales dramatically. Feng Shui is currently in play
not only in homes, but on the cutting edge of business, and especially
in real estate sales. Donald Trump was convinced after a Feng
Shui consultant’s advice rescued Trump Towers. Recently he
said: “I don’t have to believe in Feng Shui; I do it because it
makes me money.”
Having a Feng Shui consultation for the purpose of tuning up your home
before it is placed on the market is a little like getting “staging” (a
real estate term for polishing up “the look” inside the home) plus
magic. Furniture and accessories might be rearranged, creating
comfortable, spacious, and appealing rooms. A place for flowers
and your realtor’s cards is suggested, to tap into subtle energies of
attraction, or synchronicity. For Sale signs are placed to
trigger optimism and attract people who are ready to buy.
(Incorrect sign placement can stall the selling process, or attract
contrary, haggle-prone buyers.) Whatever the unique needs of each
property, Feng Shui know-how helps create just the right signals to
attract buyers, with a minimal investment of time and money.
No one really knows why Feng Shui works so well. It might be that
its principles are just beyond our current scope of knowledge, just as
it was once beyond the ability of doctors to explain the “power” they
had to improve the survival rate of their patients by washing their
hands before performing surgery. Whatever the explanation, we
don't have to take it on faith. Like the doctors, We can
challenge its veracity by experimenting, and get great results.

Key to creating
results is understanding the energy map called the
"bagua" which locates the places that connect to the events in our
lives. Events involving such critically important things as our
careers, relationships, health and prosperity. In the school of
Feng Shui that I practice, this map aligns with the entrance to your
home or property such that the back-left corner of your home or land
relates to abundance, or wealth issues. It is especially
important when getting your home ready for sale to groom this area,
clearing clutter, replacing broken items, and adding to it items that
make your heart sing. In your home this might include furniture
or objects of handsome beauty. Water and wood are elements that
activate the energy of this area, so placing a plant in robust health
and a tabletop fountain here is a highly effective method of tapping
into channels of abundance.
There will be other very specific things that need to be done in the
far left corner of your home in connection to real estate sales.
For selection and placement of these items, however, you will need the
trained eye of a practitioner on site. And sometimes it is what
needs to be removed from this area, rather than included, that can make
the sale.
